I’ve been cooking for pretty much my whole life. My grandmother first put me to work in the kitchen when I was five years old, and once I learned my way around a pot and pan, there was no turning back. Some kids grew up playing with toys—I grew up learning flavors, family recipes, and how to sneak a taste before dinner hit the table. That early start turned into a lifelong love of food, and over the years, being in New York City opened my eyes to the incredible cultures and cuisines from all over the world. Around every corner was something new to taste, learn, and appreciate.

Food has always been bigger than just eating to me—it’s connection, culture, memories, and joy. I love exploring global dishes, putting my own spin on them, and sharing that experience with my online community. Somewhere along the way, during a major life change, Ali Appetite was born. What started as a fresh chapter became a place where my passion for great food, great music, and great people could all live together. Turns out healing tastes better when it’s seasoned properly.

At the heart of it all, this is about community. It’s about bringing people together, making strangers feel like family, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome.
